New combo therapy aims to boost lung cancer treatment completion
NCT ID NCT06102057
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether a faster, more precise radiation plan combined with standard chemotherapy and an immunotherapy drug (durvalumab) can help more people with stage III lung cancer finish their treatment. About 110 adults with unresectable lung cancer will be randomly assigned to either the new accelerated radiation or standard radiation, both with chemo and durvalumab. The main goal is to see if the new approach leads to higher treatment completion rates with fewer side effects.
