A gentler numbing shot for eyelid surgery? trial tests four tweaks to lidocaine.

NCT ID NCT07734740

First seen Jul 29, 2026 · Last updated Aug 04, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This trial tests whether warming lidocaine or adding sodium bicarbonate, hyaluronidase, or tranexamic acid can make the numbing injection less painful and reduce bleeding during upper eyelid surgery. About 80 adults having bilateral blepharoplasty will receive different mixtures on each side of the face to compare effects. The goal is to find a simple way to improve comfort and safety during this common procedure.
