Heart stent showdown: CT vs ultrasound in major trial

Summary
This study tests whether using a CT scan before and during a heart stent procedure works as well as using an ultrasound probe inside the artery. About 1,090 adults with narrowed heart arteries will be randomly assigned to one of the two imaging methods. The main goal is to see if the CT-guided approach prevents heart attacks, heart-related death, or the need for repeat procedures as effectively as the ultrasound-guided approach.
