New injection offers hope for blood cancer patients who can't use standard treatments

NCT ID NCT04182100

Summary

This study tested whether P1101 injections could help adults with polycythemia vera, a rare blood cancer, when standard treatments don't work well. Twenty-nine Japanese patients received injections every two weeks for a year to see if the treatment could control their blood counts without needing regular blood removal. Researchers measured whether patients could maintain healthy blood levels and avoid complications like blood clots.
