NCT ID NCT07171762

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether ozone water, used during root canal treatment, affects oxidative stress (a measure of cell damage) better than standard saline. Sixty adults with a painless tooth infection called apical periodontitis will be randomly assigned to receive either ozone or saline irrigation. Researchers will collect fluid from around the tooth root at three time points to measure changes in stress markers.
