Could a gas treatment for cancer pain work through your gut?

NCT ID NCT07259681

Summary

This study aims to understand the connection between gut bacteria and severe pelvic pain that can occur after radiation or chemotherapy for gynecological cancers. Researchers will observe 38 women to see if a treatment called rectal ozone therapy, which has helped many patients feel better, works by changing the types of bacteria in the gut. The goal is to gather knowledge about how this pain develops and how the treatment might work, not to test a new cure.
