Summary

This study aimed to understand how breathing ozone, a common air pollutant, causes lung damage. Healthy volunteers participated in two sessions where they breathed either clean air or a low level of ozone while exercising. Researchers collected mucus samples from their lungs afterward to analyze how their immune cells responded.
