Brain hormone spray tested to ease Schizophrenia's hidden symptoms
NCT ID NCT07265180
Summary
This study is testing whether a nasal spray containing oxytocin, a natural brain hormone, can make group mindfulness therapy more effective for people with schizophrenia. Researchers want to see if the spray helps reduce specific symptoms like social withdrawal and lack of motivation. About 120 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the oxytocin spray or a placebo spray before weekly therapy sessions.
