NCT ID NCT07265180
First seen Dec 04, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving oxytocin (a natural hormone) as a nasal spray before group mindfulness therapy can reduce negative symptoms like lack of motivation and social withdrawal in people with schizophrenia. About 120 adults will receive either a low or high dose of oxytocin or a placebo, and researchers will track changes in symptoms over time. The goal is to see if oxytocin makes the therapy more effective by improving social connection and emotional response.
