New nasal spray trial aims to ease hidden emotional struggles in rare hormone disorder

Summary

This study is testing whether an oxytocin nasal spray can help reduce anxiety and improve social and emotional functioning in adults with central diabetes insipidus. Participants will receive either the oxytocin spray or a placebo spray for two weeks while continuing their standard hormone treatment. The main goal is to see if the spray improves anxiety levels and the ability to recognize emotions in others.
