Can critically ill patients be safely moved on portable oxygen?

NCT ID NCT05311007

Summary

This study aimed to understand how safe it is to move critically ill patients within a hospital while they are receiving oxygen through a special portable high-flow device. Researchers observed 175 adult patients in intensive care who needed to be moved for tests or between departments. They carefully tracked any breathing problems or other complications that happened during these moves to see if this portable oxygen method is reliable.
