Scientists measure breath in throat to improve oxygen therapy
NCT ID NCT07019701
Summary
This study aimed to understand how well different oxygen delivery methods work by measuring oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the throat of healthy volunteers. Researchers tested high-flow oxygen through a nasal tube or face mask, and standard oxygen through a mask, while volunteers breathed normally and through their mouth. The goal was to gather basic information to help improve oxygen therapy for very sick patients in the future.
