Life-Saving oxygen test: which method works best in east africa?

NCT ID NCT05754034

Summary

This study aims to find out if high-flow oxygen therapy works better than standard oxygen therapy for saving the lives of adults with dangerously low blood oxygen in five East African hospitals. About 1,600 participants will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two oxygen delivery methods. Researchers will compare death rates, hospital stays, and how much oxygen is used to see which approach is more effective and practical in these settings.
