Pressurized oxygen tested as relief for lingering concussion woes

NCT ID NCT05643482

Summary

This small, completed study tested whether breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) could help adults whose concussion symptoms like headaches and dizziness lasted more than three months. Researchers compared the real oxygen treatment to a sham (fake) procedure in 12 participants to see if it reduced symptoms and improved daily life. The main goal was to check if the treatment was safe and if it made people feel better.
