Could breathing extra oxygen at night help ease early psychosis?

NCT ID NCT04368039

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether breathing slightly enriched oxygen at night can help young people experiencing their first episode of psychosis. For 4 weeks, participants will use a nasal tube connected to a machine that delivers either regular room air or air with extra oxygen while they sleep. Researchers will measure if this nightly therapy improves thinking skills, mood, social life, and overall quality of life.
