Pressurized oxygen tested to ease Chemo's painful side effect

NCT ID NCT07410169

Summary

This study is testing whether breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) can help relieve nerve pain and improve daily life for breast cancer patients who developed this side effect after a specific chemotherapy drug. The trial will enroll 160 women who have finished their chemotherapy and are experiencing this nerve pain. Researchers will compare the oxygen therapy to standard care to see if it reduces pain and improves quality of life.
