Breathing for a better brain scan: new test aims to see Tumors' weak spots

NCT ID NCT05904704

Summary

This study aimed to test if a special type of MRI scan, done while a patient breathes extra oxygen, could create a map showing which parts of a brain tumor have low oxygen. Low oxygen in tumors can make standard treatments like radiation less effective. The goal was to see if this scanning method was practical and could provide information to help design more personalized treatments in the future. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
