New oxygen monitor tested in routine vein surgery
NCT ID NCT06566690
Summary
This study aimed to understand how spinal anesthesia affects a patient's oxygen levels during varicose vein surgery. Researchers monitored 56 patients using a standard oxygen sensor and a newer one that gives an early warning. The goal was to see if the level of numbness from the spinal block is linked to changes in oxygen, to help doctors manage oxygen therapy more safely.
