Safer sedation for kids: testing oxygen masks vs nasal tubes during stomach exams

NCT ID NCT07234188

Summary

This study compares two different ways to give children oxygen during sedated stomach exams to see which works better at preventing low oxygen levels. Researchers will test a special procedural oxygen mask against a high-flow nasal cannula in 30 children aged 6-16. The goal is to find the safest method to keep children's oxygen levels stable during these common medical procedures.
