Breathing easier: new study tests safer oxygen methods for kids during medical scopes
NCT ID NCT07234188
Summary
This pilot study aims to find the best way to deliver oxygen to children during sedated upper endoscopy procedures to prevent low blood oxygen levels. Researchers will compare a specialized procedural oxygen mask against a high-flow nasal cannula in 30 children aged 6-16. The goal is to gather evidence for safer sedation practices during these common diagnostic and treatment procedures.
