First seen Mar 03, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at 60 adults having laparoscopic colorectal surgery to see if using 80% oxygen instead of the usual 100% during breathing tube removal affects oxygen levels. The goal was to find a safer way to prevent low oxygen and avoid harm from too much oxygen. Researchers used a special monitor to track oxygen reserves in real time.
