New oxygen method tested to keep high-risk patients safer during stomach exams
NCT ID NCT06610461
Summary
This study tested whether high-flow nasal oxygen delivery is better than standard oxygen methods at preventing dangerously low oxygen levels during upper endoscopy procedures. Researchers compared the two approaches in 180 high-risk patients undergoing stomach and digestive tract exams. The goal was to see if the high-flow method reduces breathing problems and makes procedures safer.
