New filter aims to protect kidneys in sepsis patients

This study looks at whether a special blood filter called Oxiris can help people with sepsis-related kidney injury. Sepsis causes inflammation that can damage kidneys, and this filter is designed to remove harmful substances from the blood. Researchers will compare the Oxiris filter to a standard filter in 30 adults to see if it improves blood vessel health and kidney recovery. The goal is to gather information for future, larger studies.
