Could a simple test in early pregnancy predict preeclampsia?
NCT ID NCT07072052
First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026
Summary
This study aims to understand how the corpus luteum, a gland in the ovary that produces hormones in early pregnancy, affects the risk of developing preeclampsia—a serious condition causing high blood pressure. Researchers will measure hormone levels and use ultrasound to examine the corpus luteum in 360 pregnant women during the first 8 weeks. The goal is to find early signs that could predict preeclampsia, potentially leading to better prevention in the future.
