First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026

Summary

This study compares a new drug, oxfendazole, against the standard treatment for chronic fascioliasis, a parasitic liver infection. 336 adults in Peru will receive either one or two doses of oxfendazole or two doses of triclabendazole. The goal is to see if oxfendazole works as well at clearing the infection and is safe.
