Personalized cancer vaccine aims to keep ovarian cancer at bay

NCT ID NCT02346747

Summary

This study is testing whether a personalized vaccine called Vigil can help women with advanced ovarian cancer stay cancer-free longer after their initial surgery and chemotherapy. The vaccine is made from each patient's own tumor cells and is given as a series of injections. Researchers want to see if this approach can delay or prevent the cancer from coming back compared to a placebo injection.
