Personalized vaccine trial aims to train immune system to fight advanced ovarian cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether a personalized vaccine made from a patient's own immune cells can help prevent or delay the return of advanced ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer. The vaccine is designed to teach the immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells. About 78 patients who have recently finished initial surgery and chemotherapy will be randomly assigned to receive either the experimental vaccine or a placebo injection to compare results.
