Blood test may spot ovarian cancer return months earlier

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood test can find changes in the BRCA gene that might signal ovarian cancer is coming back earlier than usual scans. About 130 women with BRCA-mutated ovarian cancer who are starting maintenance therapy with a PARP inhibitor will give blood samples over 24 months. The goal is to see if these genetic clues in the blood can help doctors detect progression sooner, potentially allowing for faster treatment adjustments.
