Summary
This study looked at whether adults with simple appendicitis can safely have their appendix removed and go home within 12 hours, instead of staying overnight in the hospital. 120 patients were enrolled to see if this outpatient approach is feasible. The goal was to reduce hospital stays while keeping patients safe.
