This study looked at whether people with uncomplicated appendicitis can safely have their appendix removed and go home the same day, instead of staying overnight in the hospital. Researchers followed 120 adults who had surgery and checked if they were discharged within 12 hours. The goal was to see if outpatient appendectomy is a practical and safe option for these patients.
