First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study aims to build a large electronic registry of 1000 adults with an ileostomy, colostomy, or urostomy. Participants will report on the ostomy products they use, how often leaks happen, and their mental well-being. The goal is to better understand the daily challenges and needs of people living with a stoma.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this registry could provide valuable insights to improve ostomy care products and support for people living with a stoma.
- What could go wrong
- This is an observational registry, not a treatment trial. It will not test any new intervention, so direct health benefits for participants are unlikely.
