Scientists look back at old tumors to find new clues for bone cancer

NCT ID NCT03737435

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the immune system interacts with osteosarcoma (a type of bone cancer) and how a drug called mifamurtide might affect this. Researchers analyzed archived tumor samples from 80 patients who had already been treated for localized osteosarcoma. The goal was to find biological clues in the tumors that could explain why some patients do better than others, which may help guide future treatments.
