New hope to stop fractures in frail elderly women
NCT ID NCT05058976
Summary
This study is testing whether a specific sequence of two bone-strengthening medications works better than standard care for older women with osteoporosis who live in nursing homes or assisted living. About 184 women aged 65 and older will receive either the new two-step treatment or a placebo followed by standard care. The main goal is to see if this approach improves bone density over two years to help prevent broken bones.
