First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested a simple questionnaire to find women at risk for osteoporosis, a bone-weakening disease that raises fracture risk. Over 3,200 women aged 50-80 who were hospitalized answered questions about risk factors, and those at risk were offered a bone density scan. The goal was to improve detection and connect more women with treatment to prevent future breaks.
