New study targets brittle bones in cystic fibrosis patients

Summary

This study looks at bone health in people with cystic fibrosis (CF) and healthy volunteers. It uses scans and blood tests to measure bone strength. A smaller group of CF patients with weak bones will receive a drug called denosumab for up to 5 years to see if it helps. The goal is to better understand and treat bone disease in CF.
