Race to stop bone fractures after osteoporosis drug switch
NCT ID NCT06767150
Summary
This study aims to find the safest way to switch from one osteoporosis medication (denosumab) to another (zoledronic acid) in postmenopausal women. Stopping denosumab can sometimes cause rapid bone loss and increase fracture risk. Researchers will compare two approaches: a standard single infusion versus a personalized approach using blood tests to determine if a second infusion is needed.
