Faster check for bone drugs? new study tests quick blood test
NCT ID NCT07242612
Summary
This study is testing whether simple blood tests can show if osteoporosis medications are working much faster than the standard bone density scan. It involves 40 postmenopausal women with osteoporosis who will receive one of two types of bone-strengthening drugs. Researchers will compare changes in these blood markers with changes in bone density over six months to see if the blood tests are a reliable early indicator of treatment success.
