First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at how well a metal implant that attaches directly to the thigh bone works for people who have lost a leg above the knee. The implant replaces the traditional socket, which often causes skin problems and pain. Researchers will track 15 adults to see if the implant improves their quality of life, mobility, and comfort.
