Better decisions lead to better outcomes for joint replacement patients
NCT ID NCT05972525
Summary
This study is testing whether a special decision-making tool helps patients with severe hip or knee osteoarthritis make better choices about joint replacement surgery. Researchers want to see if using this tool during doctor visits improves how informed patients feel, increases their satisfaction with treatment decisions, and leads to better pain relief and quality of life after surgery. The study involves 615 Danish patients who are considering joint replacement for their osteoarthritis.
