First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested a new technique called OSNA to find free cancer cells in the abdominal fluid of 108 stomach and colon cancer patients. The goal was to see if OSNA works better than the usual lab test (cytology) for spotting early spread of cancer in the abdomen. The approach could help doctors catch peritoneal carcinomatosis earlier.
