Low-Dose drug trial targets silent hormone problem

NCT ID NCT07104812

Summary

This study is testing whether a very low 1 mg dose of the drug osilodrostat is safe and can help control mild, ongoing overproduction of the stress hormone cortisol from the adrenal glands. It will involve 15 adults who have a benign adrenal tumor and related health issues like high blood pressure or bone thinning. Researchers will measure hormone levels in urine and blood to see if the drug reduces cortisol without causing side effects like adrenal insufficiency.
