First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a drug called osellidine can provide good pain relief during hysteroscopic surgery with fewer side effects than traditional opioids. It will involve 310 adults having day surgery. The goal is to see if osellidine leads to fewer breathing problems, less nausea, and quicker recovery.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Osellidine (a painkiller)
What this could lead to
If it works, osellidine could offer a safer pain relief option for day surgeries, with fewer side effects and faster recovery.
What could go wrong
This is an early feasibility study, not yet recruiting. Results may not apply to all patients, and osellidine's effectiveness compared to standard opioids is still uncertain.
