Gentle jaw device could ease sleep apnea without stiffness
NCT ID NCT07414420
First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests a special mouthpiece that slowly moves the lower jaw forward during sleep to help people with mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea breathe easier. Unlike standard devices that lock the jaw in one fixed position, this one adjusts gradually to reduce muscle and joint discomfort. About 40 adults aged 20 to 65 with confirmed sleep apnea will use the device at home while their breathing, oxygen levels, and snoring are monitored overnight.
