First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests a nerve-stimulation therapy for people with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) who cannot use standard treatments like mouthpieces or breathing machines. Researchers will enroll 50 Latin American adults to see how well the therapy works compared to earlier US studies. The goal is to understand if this approach can safely open the airway during sleep and reduce apnea episodes.
