First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study explores whether growing a patient's tumor cells in the lab (as 3D 'organoids') can help doctors choose the most effective treatment. About 152 adults with advanced, hard-to-treat solid tumors will have their organoids tested against a panel of drugs. The goal is to see if this personalized approach is feasible and can improve outcomes like tumor shrinkage or delayed progression.
