Summary

This study tests whether a drug that blocks orexin, a brain chemical linked to motivation, can reduce the desire to drink alcohol in people with Alcohol Use Disorder. Thirty adults who binge drink but are not seeking treatment will take the drug or a placebo and then choose between alcohol or money. The goal is to see if the drug lowers alcohol cravings and drinking choices.
