New pill aims to help millions shed pounds in major trial
NCT ID NCT07274137
Summary
This study is testing whether a new oral medication called MDR-001, taken alongside lifestyle changes, can help adults with overweight or obesity manage their weight. About 740 Chinese adults will take either the drug or a placebo pill for 52 weeks to see how much weight they lose and if the treatment is safe. The goal is to see if this pill can become a helpful tool for long-term weight management.
