Study aims to spare kids from IV needles for bone infections

Summary
This trial is testing whether treating children's bone and joint infections with oral antibiotics alone works as well as the standard treatment that starts with intravenous (IV) antibiotics. It involves 285 children aged 1-18 in Australia and New Zealand. The goal is to see if kids can recover fully without needing an IV line, which can be painful and difficult for families.
