Pill vs. injection: new hope for easier blood clot prevention after surgery

NCT ID NCT07124819

Summary

This study tested if a new oral pill (Dimolegin®) works as well as standard injections (Clexane®) to prevent dangerous blood clots in patients having hip or knee replacement surgery. It involved 215 patients and directly compared the safety and effectiveness of the two methods. The goal was to see if the pill could offer a simpler, needle-free option for post-surgery clot prevention.
