Gentle mouth therapy helps tiniest babies feed and grow

NCT ID NCT07366190

Summary

This study tested whether a gentle mouth and face massage, called PIOMI, helps premature babies in the hospital. Researchers wanted to see if the therapy improved the babies' ability to breastfeed, helped them gain weight faster, and allowed them to go home sooner. They compared a small group of babies who received the therapy to a group who received standard hospital care.
